Golf Course
 

Groundskeeper

We are looking for a self-motivated person that enjoys working with others. Our staff works together as a team to provide our members and guests the best experience possible. Abbey Springs has a 4 ½ star rating for our resort and we are striving to achieve the top 5 star rating. In order to achieve that high rating employees must also be committed to achieving that goal.
Hours are 6:00 am until 1:00 pm on weekdays, Saturday or Sunday 5:00 am until 8:00 am. Hours may occasionally vary slightly to accommodate outings and tournaments. This is a great job for the person that appreciates mornings and likes to have all afternoon and evening to enjoy their summer.
Hours: 40-43 per week
Wage: $12.00/hour
 
Job Description

  • Operating equipment for mowing greens and tees

  • Operating Zero-turn type mower for cutting rough and lawns

  • Operating string trimmers, hedge clippers back-pack blowers

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

  • Required to bend, pull, push, stoop and stand for long periods of time

  • Must be able to work effectively with others

  • Respond to any reasonable task requested by the Golf & Grounds Supervisor
     

Horticulturist Position

We are looking for a self-motivated person that loves to work independently. We frequently change annual flower gardens so ability to design would be beneficial to secure position. Perennial gardens are updated on an as needed basis. Candidate must strive to not only maintain but improve on the beauty throughout our gated community.
 
Hours: Flexible, not to exceed 40 hours per week
Salary: Commensurate with experience $12.00 - $18.00/hour
 
Job Description

  • Assist in design and installation of landscape gardens

  • Assist in planting and maintaining annual and perennial gardens

  • Assist in daily watering and maintenance of gardens

  • Assist in cultivation practices dealing with all flower gardens.

  • Required to bend, pull, push, stoop and stand for long periods of time

  • Respond to any reasonable task requested by the Grounds Supervisor

Formal Education and Job-Related Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Associate degree in Horticulture or related preferred.

  • Grounds or landscaping experience preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively with others


Food & Beverage

 

Bartender

Duties include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar utensils and balancing cash receipts to record sales. Must be able to carry cases of wine, liquor and ice. Professional appearance, club uniform and proper service technique required. POS knowledge. Part or Full time, Weekends necessary. Willing to train.
 

Server

Responsible for ensuring diners have a positive experience at our restaurants by exhibiting excellent customer service. Their duties include greeting diners and taking their orders, communicating with members of the kitchen about orders and carrying meals or beverages to the correct tables Knowledge of POS system, professional appearance, club uniform and service technique and the ability to work in various weather conditions required. Part or Full time, Weekends necessary. Willing to train.
 

Busser/Server Assistant

A Busser, or Food Runner, is in charge of setting and clearing tables at a dining establishment to provide a clean and tidy environment for restaurant patrons. Their duties include removing used dishes, re-setting silverware and filling beverages for diners, as well as assisting service staff. Professional appearance, club uniform and service technique and the ability to work in various weather conditions required. Part or Full time, Weekends necessary. Willing to train.
 

Café Attendant

As a cafeteria attendant, you'll prepare and serve a variety of food items or beverages to customers. Additional duties could include ensuring that dining tables are stocked with condiments, cleaning up accidental spills, bussing and cleaning tables and fulfilling customer service requests. Knowledge of POS system, professional appearance, club uniform and service technique and the ability to work in various weather conditions required. Part or Full time, Weekends necessary. Willing to train.
 

Line Cook

Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies. Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces. Prepares food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Part or Full time, Weekends necessary. Willing to train.
 

Dishwasher

Dishwashers are responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses. Their duties include prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry. Prep work, taking garbage and trash to dumpster area, washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors, Assembling, maintaining and breaking down the dish machine. Part or Full time, Weekends necessary. Willing to train.
 

Set up Crew

The Banquet Set-Up persons help set up and tear down the meeting rooms and outdoor event spaces for events. This includes moving and lifting chairs, tables, and equipment from various of the Club. Professional appearance, club uniform and the ability to work in various weather conditions required. Part time, Weekends necessary. Willing to train and cross train in restaurants.
 

Banquet Staff

A Banquet Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests at venues or catering events. Their duties include, setting rooms, greeting guests and providing proper service technique throughout the event, clearing and closing duties. Professional appearance, club uniform and service technique and the ability to work in various weather conditions required. Part time, Weekends necessary. Willing to train and cross train in restaurants.
